What we do
The AI audit
An AI audit is a close look at how your business runs, ending in a ranked list of what to automate, what it saves in dollars and what to leave alone. Ours takes three to four weeks and it’s read-only, so nothing changes in your business while we do it.
By Matt Laycock and Zayn Pike. Updated 4 November 2026.
What we look at
- Your operations. How work moves from first enquiry to final payment.
- Your procedures. What’s written down, and what only lives in one person’s head.
- Each person’s week. What they actually do all day, from a fortnight of time logs.
- Your data. How information moves between systems, and where it breaks.
- Your spend. Supplier overcharges, unbilled variations and software you don’t need.
What you get
- Every process written up: steps, owners, systems and time per step, checked by the person who runs it.
- A data flow of how information moves through the business, with every break point priced.
- Each team’s day, with the repeat work marked.
- A savings ledger: what the work costs today against what it costs automated, with every total traceable to a row.
- A roadmap of what to build, why and in what order, and what we’d leave out.
In a sample business of about 80 people, that comes to 220 repetitive hours a week and $845,000 a year in wages, of which $417,000 really comes out. Here’s how that sum works. To see a finished audit on a made-up business, ask for demo access.
What it takes from your team
Read-only access to the systems you agree to, and some time with the people who run each function. We sign an NDA as standard. The findings come straight from the people doing the work, which is why they tend to believe the roadmap.
What happens next
You see the numbers: what to build, why it pays, how much it saves and the order to build it in. If it won’t save you significant money, we won’t build it, and we’ll tell you so. If you go ahead, we agree the saving in writing before each build, and you get your money back if a build misses it.
AI audit, readiness assessment or governance audit?
People use these words differently. An AI readiness assessment scores how prepared you are. An AI governance or compliance audit checks the AI you already run for risk and bias. Ours is neither, though both come up along the way. It answers one question: what should you build, and what’s it worth?
Next step
The infrastructure gap is costing you more than you think.
The businesses pulling ahead aren’t working harder. They’re running on better infrastructure. We build it, you own it, and it compounds. 15 minutes with a founder, no slides. If there’s no saving worth chasing, we’ll tell you.
Questions, answered first
How long does an AI audit take?
Three to four weeks for ours. It’s read-only, so nothing changes in your business while it runs.
Do you need access to our systems?
Read-only access to the systems you agree to, under an NDA we sign as standard. We don’t need to change anything to do the audit.
What does an AI audit cost?
We don’t publish prices. Book a call and we’ll tell you straight once we know the size of the business.
Is my business big enough?
Maybe not. If the numbers don’t stack up, we’ll show you and we won’t build it.
What if the audit finds nothing worth building?
Then we’ll tell you, and you’ll know exactly where your hours go, which most owners don’t.
