Your details, plainly

Who we are
This website is run by Laycock Creative Pty Ltd, ABN 55 684 709 251, trading as Aether AI. If you have a question about your details, email matt@useaetherai.com.
What we collect
What you send us. If you send us an enquiry, we receive your name, email, number, what you need help with and any file you attach. If you ask for demo access, we receive your name, work email, business, industry and anything you write in the form. If you ask for a call, we receive your name, number and anything else you add.
What you type, even before you send it. Our forms save as you type, so we can follow up if you get interrupted or change your mind. That means we can see your details and what you wrote even if you never press send, and we may contact you once about it. Files aren’t saved until you send them. We delete unsent form details after 90 days.
How you use this site. We record the pages you visit, how far you scroll, how long you spend on each part of a page, what you click or tap, the site that sent you (its name, not the page), whether you came from an ad, any campaign tags in the link, your screen size, your type of device and your rough location (country, state, city and postcode) worked out from your IP address, which can be well out, especially on a phone. We don’t store the address itself. We also keep the time zone your device is set to and the one your IP address points to, so we can mark a location as unsure when they don’t match. A random ID kept in your browser ties your visits together, and if you fill in a form, ties them to those details. It’s stored in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie. We delete these records after 180 days.
Who analyses it. Our systems score visits and summarise them for the founders each morning, so we can see which parts of the site work and who’s interested. That email can include your name and business if you’ve typed them. The records are stored with Supabase in Sydney.
If you leave your details. We may look up your business from public sources such as its website, the ABN register and the news, then put together notes, ideas and sometimes a draft message for a founder to read. We keep those for 90 days unless we’ve been in touch. That work uses Claude, an AI from Anthropic, which may process it overseas, including in the United States. It gets your first name, your business, your email’s domain, your rough location, what you wrote and how you used the site. It doesn’t get your phone number or full email address, and we take those out of what you wrote too. The web search only gets your business name, its domain and your rough location. A founder decides whether anything is sent, and nothing goes out by itself.
We don’t use advertising trackers and we don’t sell any of this. Our host also keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure.
Turning it off
This button stops all of the above in this browser and deletes what we hold against it. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal, and we don’t record visitors in the UK or Europe at all.
How the forms work
Our forms come straight to our inbox, through this site and Google, which hosts our email. Your details and any file you attach are kept in that email. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
What we use it for
To reply to you, send a demo code, talk about your business and improve this site. We don’t sell your details or share them with anyone else, except the providers named on this page and where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you at any time by emailing matt@useaetherai.com. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Demos
The demos on this site and in our private portfolio run on sample data. They contain no client names, client data or client IP.
